You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from counselling

Counselling can be helpful in a wide range of circumstances and for various reasons, not just for times of crisis. A valuable resource for maintaining overall mental and emotional wellbeing, it can provide tools and strategies to handle life’s challenges more effectively, and enhance the quality of your life. It can even be part of a wellness plan that could help you to develop resilience and maintain mental wellbeing.

But, if you are in crisis, it provides immediate emotional support, helping you to de-escalate intense emotions and address both immediate needs and long-term mental health. It empowers you to navigate through your crisis and build resilience for the future.

Feeling overwhelmed?

We all face challenges in daily life and it’s perfectly normal to feel overwhelmed from time to time. Whether it’s the pressure of work, personal relationships, or unexpected events, these challenges can leave us feeling stressed and anxious. It’s important to realise that feeling this way doesn’t mean we are weak; it simply means we’re human. Everyone has their own struggles and it’s okay to reach out for help when you need it.

Whilst there’s no ‘magic’ cure, counselling can equip you with skills and insight needed to navigate life challenge’s more effectively. I can help you feel less overwhelmed, make sense of the confusion and feel more able to cope.

Hi, I'm Sharon

About Me

I work with individuals, helping them to cope with life’s changes, explore what they want out of life and find a way forward.

Over the years, I have worked with various organisations including Lincoln YMCA, Rape Crisis, Lincolnshire Counselling and Mediation Service and the Diocese of Lincoln supporting lay readers and members of the clergy.

I founded Wellbeing Counselling Lincoln in 2014, then after moving online during the pandemic I renamed my business to Wellbeing Talk Therapy.

I am an individual accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). The BACP is a governing body for counselling and psychotherapy. Being a member means I meet the standards required and follow the BACP ethical framework, complying with their guidelines for maintaining skilled, ethical practice.
